05 Feb Taking a break at Embrosneros kafenio in the Apokoronas region of Crete
When visiting Embrosneros you will have to pass by the village center. There are a couple of traditional kafenios. Personally, we like to stop there whenever we can and grab a drink of tsikoudia accompanied by some nuts, local cheese and dry bread.
Depending on the time of the day perhaps coffee is more appropriate. Then we recommend some Greek coffee. Or as some call, Turkish. Dig into that history and you are in for a long conversation.
What matters is that time tends to slow down and relaxation sets in.
